Readers and Writers:
Squalorly is pleased to announce that we have chosen a winner for our very first national prose competition. The field was vast and extremely talented, making our choice more difficult than we'd anticipated. After many long nights spent scrutinizing entries, emailing back and forth, and generally arguing the case for our favorite pieces, Brandi Wells' flash fiction work, Your Origin Story, emerged victorious.
We congratulate Brandi on her achievement, and hope she finds something swell to do with her prize money, trophy, and Squalorly gear.
We'd also like to congratulate Rachael Armstrong and Jamez Chang for their honorary mentions in the contest, along with the numerous other entrants who submitted the type of writing that keeps us up at night.
We're looking forward to the next one, and hope you're as enthusiastic about it as we are.
