Too much wine Too much beer
Too much sex I sit here
In a fog In a room
In a box This is dumb
So stupid So dead end

I was born I was raised
I was fed Then I left
Too much pain Too much crap
Too much stuff Where to go
What to do Why bother

Had a wife Then another
Had a kid Had a job
Then another Then another
Then another And the sun
And the moon Still rises

Is this all All there is
The meaning The whole life
One dinner One party
One long search One more drug

Bang

When the unseen hand pushes my buttons
I lose all control, the trigger not my own
explosions go off in my gut
and invectives spew out
like hot lead.

This is not my fault, this involuntary auditory
freedom, Tourette’s, unbridled speech
for nothing is my fault
I only exist as I am
a simple tool.

Things fly as they will, after they leave me
and I am held as if I might follow, wanting
to be more than just a gun
more than a mouthpiece
of another’s anger.

Everything happens so quickly, even I
hardened and mechanical feel used
then I am as I was before
peaceful and abiding
until I am not.

Law Abiding Citizen

SO
how do you escape this toting thing with a hammer cocked under every summer dress in
my cart
(it’s a disguise)

BUT

I can’t turn back due to a sentence from a…a…a… mind
and if I slip I shall never end…um… until I am a curled snail in a boat in a
backyard

THIS

is my right
left to me
and those who take words
to use as knives to split the
HOLY SHIT!
NO ONE LISTENS TO ME!
NO ONE LISTENS TO ME!
But I’m on the w…w…w…way to the store to buy some chips and beer…and beer… I can’t
stand how this shirt feels on my chest and I never really wanted to leave but she she she…

…did you ever eat a cat couldn’t understand?
DON’T
My feet hurt and I used to see needles, lots of needles
I see that dog
